J. Cole, millennials’ favorite placeholder for “real hip-hop,” is dropping a new LP next Friday. Right now, iTunes lists an album under his name that’s titled 4 Your Eyez Only and available for pre-order. The page lists 10 tracks and a December 9th release date.
The rapper or anyone from his team is yet to formally announce the album but we expect them to do it soon. Hopefully we will get to hear a track or two before the street date.
Cole’s last album was 2014 Forest Hills Drive. The LP notoriously went double Platinum without guest features. Earlier this year, he put out a live version of the record, featuring songs from his Homecoming documentary.
